Find Certified Counselors Therapists and Coaches For overcoming-enmeshment
As a therapist - I use an integrative approach- ranging from cognitive behaviour therapy to internal family system to psychoanalytical therapy. Growing up because of my introspective parents- self-reflection and curiosity came to me naturally. My mother tells me the story of how I was the mother hen even for my older cousins even when I was 3 years old (I used to console them when they were crying and missing home at nursery) - so I do think empathy is also something that I had at an early age. This curiosity self-reflection and empathy came together for me in how I quite instinctually was fascinated and pulled to counselling as a meaningful career choice. My foray into Jungian psychoanalysis was when I read the book living an examined life- by James Hollis. He invites people into listening to their souls calling and what it means to grow up. Does it mean achieving benchmarks set by others or does it mean leaving behind expectations of others and finding your own voice and growing into the person you were meant to be?

My story follows a womans path to self-realization: “Torn between two worlds tradition and freedom I was confused between my roles as a mother and wife and manager yet beneath it all a teenager longing for a wild free life and love. I challenged societal norms marriages and tradition - all for freedom of choice... When we learn how our mind works and understand that we can heal through different energies and states of consciousness we have the ability to change every single aspect of our lives. Knowing this I can teach you how to get rid of whatever you feel is holding you back. I instill a sense of confidence and power in you and teach you to believe that you have the capacity to accomplish anything and everything.”

Hi my name is Souhair. I am a psychotherapist, systemic coach, emotional intelligence practitioner and life coach. I have over 13 years experience in the space of human empowerment and therapy. I believe in Carl Yungs quote: “Until you make the unconscious conscious it will control your life and you will call it fate.” I follow an integrated psycho-spiritual-systemic approach which is rooted in the psychodynamic interpersonal and holistic schools of psychotherapy. I focus on the adverse role of intergenerational/systemic patterns clients have carried from their family systems; which in turn have been affecting their lives deeply. This approach allows me to uncover the root causes of clients complaints including symptoms and behaviors that manifest on the surface such as depression anxiety anger and more. I help clients uncover and heal inner child deep wounds limiting belief systems and traumas. I create a compassionate accepting and respectful environment in sessions while challenging clients to step out of their comfort zones to achieve positive change / growth. Prior to working in human empowerment I worked for 9 years as a marketing professional in Jordan.

What inspires and interests me are a few things from creating my own oil paintings (because I very well know the cathartic relief it provides) as well as having the ability to help my clients through lifes adversities by building their resilience and strengths and providing them with positive coping strategies. I relish the moments when I integrate yoga therapy along with art therapy in my workshops. What makes me me is the fact that I integrate art into my psychology practice because art has access to parts of the brain that “talk therapy” doesnt. It has been scientifically proven and I witness it with my clients on a daily basis. I love what I do and I think that is one of the biggest motivations and inspiration that you actually love what you do.
